Research recent crime in your local area and you may be suprised with what you find. Violent crime doesn't confine itself to large cities (and even if it did we sit right next to 'Gun Capital of Great Britain' Nottingham), in any town or even village there are risks that you need to pay attention to. Scan through the newspaper cuttings on the right (many of which are local) and view the CCTV video (which some people may find disturbing) and see how your perception of violent crime has changed. The newspaper cuttings were collected over a period of two weeks.
